"A self-assembly system for a tulip vase consisting of 2 main elements: a flat, round disc as the basis with a flat, round disc on top of it, with a conical shape above and below. These discs slot into each other and can be stacked to form a tower. Long, narrow pots can be fitted into the holes on each side to put the tulips in water. The clay is first whitened and then a blue Delft painting is applied, either sprayed on by hand using templates, or with transfers. The round side shows a picture of a dish, while the flat side shows tiles."

Elég volt a kicsinyített holland szélmalmokból és a tulipános facipokbol, melyek a holland ajándékboltok polcain kísértik a csellengo turistákat Az Európai Kerámia Központ (European Ceramic Work Centre) negyven designert és iparmuvészt hívott meg, a szokásos nemzeti giccset leváltó, minoségi ajándéktárgyak tervezésére. Hollandia emblematikus építészeti stílusát tükrözi Miriam van der Lubbe porcelánja, az Mno Design pálinkás butéliája, Hanna Tynkkynen hat facipo-formából alakított tulipántartó vázája, Somers & van der Berg szappanokba helyezett porcelánfigurái, Vroegop/Schoonveld platina-színu kerámia levéltárcája, Juana Valdes papírhajtogatásra hajazó "Back to China" nevu porcelánhajója, Andreas Möller kávéscsészéi Hollandia nemzeti színeiben, Katja Prins porcelán és ezüstgyurui, Bakel&Heller virágszobrai, Hugo Kaagman motívumokkal diszített tulipánjai, Hella Jongerius porcelánkarkötoje csüngokkel vagy Ineke Hans egy dugóval záródó "egyben három" üvege. Valamennyi prototípus megtalálható az EKWC által létrehozott virtuális ajándékbolt-site-on , mellyel a kerámiagyártók érdeklodését szeretnék felkelteni az új ajándéktárgyak.

Designers and artists take up the challenge to develop a new generation of ceramic souvenirs's-Hertogenbosch, 1 February 2003 - Following the successful presentations Idee op Tafel (2001) (Idea on the Table) and Wetdesign (2002) in Spazio Consolo at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, the .ekwc is bringing another new show to Milan again this year. With the intention of making the concept of the modern-day souvenir a topic of discussion, the .ekwc invited 41 Dutch and foreign designers and visual artists to develop a new vision of the Dutch souvenir. The results of the project Dutch Souvenirs was be presented in Milan in a refreshing manner.
